It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Weldon Rives of Amarillo, Texas, born in Rotan, Texas, who passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Rives and Della Rives (Trimble); his wife Marjorie A. Rives (Hinds); and his siblings, Sonny Rives, Billy Rives, Dorothy Cave, Empress Adams and Elizabeth Mills.
He is survived by: his sons, Daryl Rives (Dianne) of Humble and Stephen Rives (Debbie) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Nick Rives of Midland, Blaine Rives of Wichita Falls, Cody Rives (Alexis) of Odessa, Scott Rives (Shannon) of Clarkesville, Jason Rives (Kelly) of Houston and Leesa Pearson (Scott) of Humble, Texas; and his sister Ruby Rives of Sahuarita, Arizona.. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
