He is survived by: his wife Cassandra; his children, Gina Smith of Andrews, Carolyn Smith (Keegan) of Riverside and Christopher Smith (Elizabeth) of Wilburton, Oklahoma.; his mother Ruth Savell of Amarillo; his stepmother Ruth Van Winkle of Hobbs; and his siblings, Glory Ward (Dale) of Amarillo, Goldie Young (Kenneth) of Palestine, Cathy Snowden (Clifton) of Little Rock, Mary Savell of Little Rock, Arkansas and Mark Savell (Shannon) of Andrews. He is also survived by two grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
