He is survived by: his wife Rosa Elba Astorga Sosa of Montantes; his children, Lorenzo Montantes, Pedro Alberto Montantes, Sergio Yovani (Monica Montantes), Javier Aldemar (Ludivina Montantes), Leticia Reyes, Norma Linda Montantes and Martha Lisa Montantes Martinez; and his brothers, Juan Jaime Montantes Munoz and Jesus Maria Leija Munoz. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
