He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Cabrera Sr. and Sylvia Atkinson of Harlingen, Texas.; his wife Christy Cabrera; his children, Larissa Sanchez (Leroy), Cody Cabrera (Josslin) and Zachary Cabrera; his granddaughters, Raelynn Cabrera of Andrews, Texas., Liana Sanchez of Andrews, Texas. and Luna Sanchez of Andrews, Texas.; his children-in-law, Leroy Sanchez and Josslin Pando; his sister Shannon Cabrera Lopez; his nephew Jorge Lopez Jr.; his niece Abigail Lopez of Edinburg, Texas; his in-laws, Juan and Beatrice Vargas of Andrews; his siblings-in-law, Johnny Vargas (Angelica Arellano) and Patti Espinosa (Marco Espinosa); his grandparents, Jose, Celia Cabrera, Sigifredo and Carmen Atkinson; his brothers-in-law, Robert Vargas and Marco Espinosa; and his friends, Daniel Barrera, Raul Reyes Jr., Cesar Rodriguez and Savino Hernandez. He was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McNett Funeral Home (705 N Main St, Andrews, TX 79714). A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (201 NE Ave K, Andrews, TX 79714).
