He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Margaret Hobson and Emma Margaret Reed; his father-in-law Robert H. Reed; his siblings, James Allen Reed, Julia Pauline Rich, Jackie Cowlings, Eddie Fowler and Jane Grace; and his son William David Fowler, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Robert Preston Fowler (Sara Fowler) of Omaha, Eric Wayne Fowler (Brittany De La), Carrie Lynn Anderson (Robert Mauck) of Lovington, Betty Sue Tubbs (Jerry Tubbs) of Andrews and Priscilla Fowler Stogner of San Angelo; and his goddaughter Cinthya Arneros. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
