He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Pierce and Willie Mae Pierce (Brannon); and his daughters, Belinda (Tommy) and Bernice Pierce, Jr. (Bo) of Dallas. He is survived by: his grandson Colby Gaines (Paige); his great grandchildren, Martin, Everett and Savanah of Austin; his grandchild Chase Gaines (Courtney); his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Lexi and Avery of Lake Jackson; and his friends, Lynn Cicero and Bo.
