He is survived by: his grandchildren, Anaiya, Elijah, Imani, Iman Conley, Jenasis Spaulding, Ahmi Spaulding, Melayia, Na'mari, Melanie and Milly; his brothers, Dave Marshal and Curtis Spaulding; his sister-in-law Lisa Spaulding; his aunts, Patricia Lewis, Vickie Lewis, Lillian Gadson and Linda Daniels; his sisters, Phyllis Spaulding, Juanita Keller, Kenya Spaulding and Rocksie Sams; his children, Brittany Spaulding and Joe Spaulding Jr. (Maria Calderon); his close friends, Roy Wash and Joyce Wash; his nieces, Courtney Spaulding and Whitney Spaulding; and his nephew Curtis Spaulding Jr..
After a fearful long battle and lingering complications from covid, he retired.
