With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lelia S. Carr (Angleton, Texas), born in Oakland, Maryland, who passed away on November 30, 2023 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Rolland Schoch and Margaret Schoch; her former life partner S. Herbert Sproles; and her sister Margaret Ashby. She is survived by : her brother Rolland Schoch of Deer Park, MD; her daughter Clara Jo Hurst of Angleton; and her grandchildren, Emily Hurst of Richmond, VA and Justin Carr.

In lieu of usual remembrances the family suggests donations to the Brazoria County Public Library.
