She was predeceased by: her parents, Verne F. Knickerbocker and Jane Wahlenmaier Knickerbocker Wood; her stepparents, Donald H. Wood and Kathy Frances Knickerbocker; her parents-in-law, Thomas Calvin Jernigan, Sr. and Clara Honea Jernigan; and her brother-in-law William "Bill" David Jernigan, Sr..

She is survived by: her husband Thomas "Tom" Calvin Jernigan, Jr.; her children, Thomas "Trey" Calvin Jernigan, III (Jessica Weik Jernigan) and Jana Renee Jernigan Harden; her brother Edward "Ed" Knickerbocker; her granddaughter Claira-Elysse Reagan Jernigan; and her stepmother Norma Y. Knickerbocker.
