She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Dean and LaDonna Roundtree; and her brother Harley Theodore Williams. She is survived by: her husband Theodore Thompson; her sons, Irwin, Dean, Howard and Dixon; her siblings, Labirta Yarbrough, Diana Roundtree, Ralph Roundtree and Marsha Wells; and her daughter Alisha M. Williams. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
