He was predeceased by: his father Edward Spears, Sr.; his brothers, Christopher B. Spears, Edward Spears, Jr. and Joseph C. Spears, Sr.; and his grandparents, Roosevelt, Ophelia Spears, Theo and Beatrice Richard.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Spears; his wife Cynthia Spears; his children, Brandon Dennis, Johnny Gasaway, LaKisha Ward, T'Annah Washington, D'Annah Washington, Brandy Goins and Latiese Smith; and his siblings, Virginia Ann Robinson, Catherine Griggs, Edwina Spears and Kenneth B. Spears, Sr.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and other relatives and friends.
