We announce the death of Thomas JAMES Josey Sr. (Angleton, Texas), born in Huntsville, Texas, who passed away on October 25, 2026, at the age of 82. Thomas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Josey and Nettie Josey; his siblings, Harry, Lee Otis, Bertha, Janie, Freddie and Darlene; and his daughter-in-law Michelle.
He is survived by: his wife Eula Josey; his sister Verna Smith; his children, Thomas Josey Jr., Senecia Saveat (Rodney) and Yolonda Johnson (Ron); his grandchildren, Henry Josey Sr., Diyrell Josey (Emily), Kayla Josey (Willis), Jasmyne Borne (Tyler), Thomas Josey III (Katie) and Derek Broussard (Alexis); and his great grandchildren, Henry Jr., Dayten, Kamdyn, Kylie, Drayden, Hayden, Karsyn and Kimber. He is also survived by extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the FMBC Family Life Center (523 N Parrish St, Angleton, TX 77515). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM.
