She was predeceased by: her parents, J. V. Smith and Essie Pearl Jones Smith; her brother Vernon Smith; her stepson Kyle Sore; her grandson Travis Sansom; and her husbands, Bennie Thetford and Bill Sorell.
She is survived by: her children, Tony, Sherry and Debbie; her stepchildren, Susie, Steve, Terry, Leigh Ann and Tracy; and her brother Vershel Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pioneer Drive Baptist Church (701 S Pioneer Dr, Abilene, TX 79605). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Bethel Cemetery (8032 US-180, Anson, TX 79501).
