He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Ramon Ramirez Sr. and Margarita'Margie'DeLeon Ramirez; his wife Estella Esteban; his son James Ramirez; his grandsons, Jonathan Hinojosa and Zachary Ornelas; his brother Simon Ramirez, Jr.; his son-in-law Justin Garcia; and his brother-in-law Bobby Jordan.
He is survived by: his children, Juan Ramirez (Erica) of Littlefield, Christina Hinojosa of Anton, Melisa Castillo (Paul) of Anton, Alicia Hinojosa (Manuel) of Anton and Maria Garcia of Lubbock, Texas; the mother of his children Sylvia Hinojosa of Lubbock, Texas; and his siblings, Joe Luis Ramirez Sr., Jesus Ramirez, Thomas Ramirez, Lupe Marquez, Sylvia Martinez, Beatrice Ramirez, Anita Jordan and Carmen Ramirez. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Grace Chapel (1305 Phelps Ave, Littlefield, TX 79339). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
