With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merle Johnson of Aransas Pass, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Velta Johnson (Pyle) and Harold T. Johnson; his brother Harold Melvin Johnson (Mux); and his son Ricky Lee Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Doris Johnson of Aransas Pass, Texas; his children, Randy Ray Johnson of St. Francis, Kansas, Ronda Renee Johnson Staats and Rochell "Shelly" Lanae Johnson Presley of Wichita, Kansas; his stepchildren, Richard Wade Behne (Jeanetta Behne) of Paul's Valley, Oklahoma and Lorie Gasso of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Haley Jean Shaw (Matt Shaw), Dalton Moody, Chance Johnson, Dusty Behne (Theo Behne), Cody Behne, Brody Behne (Kaylea Behne) and Vanessa Hawley; his great grandchildren, Ellie Parker, Piper Shaw, Aubrey Behne, Nocona Wilson, Boone Behne and Briggs Behne; and his sisters, Dorothy Elaine Chipperfield and Dolores Gertrude Johnson (Dee) of Goodland, Kansas..
