She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Asmus and Erna Asmus; her son Michael Penzek; her sisters, Erna Keller (Bill) and Eleanor Fechtner (Paul); and her grandmother Ellen Keller.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dianne and Doris; her pet Benji; her close friends, Evelyn Wratschko and Judy Fiene; her nephew Ed Keller; and her niece Sue Fechtner Hoskinson (Richard Penzek). She is also survived by cousins and friends.
