He is survived by: his brothers, Willie Thornton (Kay) and Robert Thornton (Dianne); his wife Alice Thornton of Arlington, TX; his children, Karsten (Makeba), Ross of Columbus, OH, Kenosha Thornton of Grand Prairie, TX, James (Fran) and Andria (Jeremy); his sisters, Della Austin of Mansfield, TX and Helen Johnson of Nettleton, MS; his grandchildren, Brittney Ross of Temple, TX, Kendrick Hicks of Euless, TX, Jada Hicks of Euless, TX and Naiah Thornton of Grand Prairie, TX; and his godchildren, Corwin Lewis, Jacques Lewis, Amayah Payton of Waxahachie, TX and Amahni Payton of Waxahachie, TX. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
