He was predeceased by: his parents, James Allen Messer and Minnie Belle Ferguson; his daughter Vanesa Hampton; and his siblings, Eldon, Geraldine, Joe, Jackie, Linda and Thelma.
He is survived by: his wife Nina S. Messer; his children, Vicky Reed (Rick), Vonnie Morgan (Bruce Cox) and Valarie Shea (Bill); and his grandchildren, Catina Reed, Chris Reed, Crystal Reed, Joshua Morgan, Kelly Shea and Kara Shea.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mission Arlington in honor of Delmar's life and legacy.
