He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Pearl Cox and Emmett Duran Cox; his daughter Sabrina Gail Cox; and his brother Emmett Cox. He is survived by: his wife Linda Cox of Arlington; his son Douglas Dean Cox of Alvarado; his brother Duane Cox of Lubbock; and his stepchildren, Robby Thomas (Shelly) of Burleson and Ginger Thomas of Arlington. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
