He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Ryan and Jaunita Ryan; his son Jerry Ray Ryan; and his siblings, Herbert Ryan, Perry Lee Ryan and Minnie Ryan.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; and his children, James Ryan (Gayle) of Alvarado, Carol Helton (Wade) of Post and Karen Whitlow (Joseph). He is also survived by Eleven grandkids and nine great grandkids and many other extended family.
