She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. James Powell Jernigan and Virginia Pollard Gibson. She is survived by: her husband Colonel Jack A. Gupton; her son Jack A Gupton Jr. (Susie); her grandsons, Benjamin James, Samuel Christian and David Jonathan; her daughter Virginia Anne Paredes (Jason); her grandchildren, Abigail Virginia, Max FuGu, Madeline Elizabeth, Analiese Hope, Georgia Grace and Jovie JingQing; her daughter Sarah Elizabeth Blair (Brian); her grandsons, Tyler Lyle, Brian Alan and Brandon Jernigan; and her siblings, James Powell Jernigan Jr. (Julia) and Janet Aileen Jernigan (Frank Heft).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, Tarrant County Food Bank, Meals on Wheels Tarrant County, or a charity of your choice, honoring Judy's legacy of compassion and generosity.
