He was predeceased by: his mother Janet Fern Mays. He is survived by: his father Joe Earl Stephens; his wife Margaret Stephens; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Jason Helm; his grandson Gavin Helm; his sister Claudia Howley; and his siblings-in-law, Bob, LuGene Erwin and Theresa Erwin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wade Funeral Home & Crematory - Arlington (4140 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76013). A reception will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
