He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Salveson. He is survived by: his sons, Justus (MT), Joren (TX) and Jarrett (TX); his mother Marilyn Gutschmidt (MT); and his siblings, Melissa (Alan) Coalter (KY) and Jeff Ackerson (TX). He is also survived by two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Dallas Stars Foundation, which supports community outreach, youth development, and educational initiatives throughout the Dallas – Fort Worth area.
