He was predeceased by: his mother Marlene Hill; his siblings, Steve Hill and Debbie Burt; his siblings-in-law, Jim Thomas and Carolyn Smith; and his nephew Chad Chapman.

He is survived by: his wife Lora Hill; his sons, Tyler Hill and Michael Hill (Madison); his stepson Jonathan Mize (Julissa); his sisters-in-law, Delora Chapman Stokely (Charles Stokely) and Candace Thomas; his grandchildren, Sloane, Scarlett, Sophia, Max and Jillian; his niece Stephanie Samson (John); and his nephews, Jordan, Landon and Gavin. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to The American Cancer Society in Mike's honor.
