He was predeceased by: his parents, Bess Phillips and Osa Martin Phillips; and his sister Lynn Phillips Woolard. He is survived by: his wife Lou Ellen; his daughters, Susan Jordan (Kerry) and Sally Powers (Kirk); his grandchildren, Blake Jordan (Michele), Lara Moody (Nathan), Kathryn Haubold (Nick Ruth) and Ryan Powers (Erin); his siblings, Rusty Phillips (Cary) and Lucy Phillips Habermann (Art); and his caregivers, Peggy Fox and Joseph Williams. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
