With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stewart William DeVore Jr. of Arlington, Texas, born in Independence, Kansas, who passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlotte Dunn DeVore and Stewart William DeVore; his sister Kathleen Boone; his uncle Dale DeVore; his cousin Tom DeVore; and his niece Kara Boone.

He is survived by : his wife Marilynn Maddox; his son-in-law Scott Ellis; his grandsons, Huston and Ford Ellis; his sister Susan Stout; and his niece Dr. Kim Boone.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tau Consortium supporting neurological disease research (https://rainwatercharitablefoundation.org) and The Oakridge School.
