He was predeceased by: his parents, Sol Shelton and Mary Ollie Shelton; his wife Wilma Helmstetler Haun; and his siblings, J. D. Wallace, Fred Shelton and Violet Wallace.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Jones (Rusty) of Lubbock, TX, Susan Steele of Sachse, TX, Joyce Atkinson of Arlington, TX, Jim Shelton (Cindy) of Clarendon, TX and Gary Shelton (Brenda) of San Antonio, TX.; and his grandchildren, Paige Jackson (Joe), Craig Shires (Teresa), Courtney Serrano, Chad Steele (Katie), Melissa Bloodworth (Joe), Jason Atkinson, Lindsey Molloy (Jeff), Taylor Shelton (Haley), Lauren Austin (Luke), Brooke Linholm (David), Heather Hull (Josh) and Kara Hill (Josh). He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
