He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Franklin Mitchell and Leona Barrett Mitchell; his wife Lola Jean Ritchey Mitchell; his daughter Sharon Rene Ely; and his siblings, Opal Irene Mitchell, Amy Lucille Allen, Arthur Leon Mitchell and Mansel Mazola Mitchell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paula JoElla Faulkner (Paul), Lola Diane Allen (Robert), Lila Darlene Ely (Bruce) and Linda Irene Auberry (Tom). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
