She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskell Sowell and Gladys Sowell; and her grandparents, Ola Mae and Ray Wyant. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Simpson of Arlington, Texas and Daniel Simpson; her daughter-in-law Kayla Simpson of Arlington, Texas; her sister Judy Tackett; her brother-in-law Alvin Tackett of Weiner, Arkansas; her brother Rickie Sowell; her sister-in-law Deborah Sowell of San Antonio, Texas; her nieces and nephews, Bonnie Barnett (O'Neal Barnett), Sondra Floyd, Levi Tackett and Nathaniel Tackett; her great-nephews, Drew Barnett and Noah Barnett; and her grandsons, Joshua Simpson and Luke Simpson.
