We announce the death of Walter Douglas Dolehite (Arlington, Texas), who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 83. Walter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his grandmother Lora; his parents, Georgia Marie Nixon and Julian Ezekial McArthur; his adoptive father Walter Leroy Dolehite; his stepfather Vernon Nixon; and his pets, Ginger, Capone and Charlie.
He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Hauling, Robert and Jennifer; his son-in-law Buck (Tracey); and his sisters, Derettia Banks and Dorothy Blanks. He is also survived by 2 nieces, 3 nephews, many great-nieces and nephews and so many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home (1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
