It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Weldon Ernest Beckner of Arlington, Texas, born in Clayton, New Mexico, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Lou Farr; his parents, Elmer Hess and Ursla Beckner (Brown); and his siblings, Ferol Beckner, Gary Beckner and Helen Beckner Kilburn.

He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Steed (Ted) of Arlington, TX, Marilyn Stelly (Chris) of Greenville, SC, Gayla Grace (Randy) of Conway, AR and Jan Gull (Bob) of Bettendorf, Iowa; and his brother Everet Beckner of Santa Fe, NM. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Weldon and Betty Beckner Education endowment fund at Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas.
