With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alan Lee Giles of Athens, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erbie Lee Giles and Jettie Giles (Lambright); his wife JoAnn Giles (Blakely); and his siblings, Llowel Giles and Evelyn Sims.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shelby Swain (Ben) and Jenna Giles; his grandchildren, Hunter Swain and Owen Blakely Speak; his nephews, Delwyn Sims (Klea), Lloyd Giles (Jan) and Darren Sims (Kaylee); and his caregiver Lana Sims Hart (Richard).
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Carroll Springs Community Church.
