He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Juan Nava, Hermelinda Barrios and Jesus Duran. He is survived by: his parents, José Angel Nava and Sandra Durán of Athens; his sister Jennifer Garcia (Aron) of Athens; and his grandparents, Pascuala Duran of Athens, Ray Wydrinski and Ana Chapman-Wydrinski. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A rosary was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Edwards Catholic Church (1310 S Palestine St, Athens, TX 75751). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at the Athens Cemetery (324 Lakeside Dr, Athens, TX 75751).
