We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2024, at the age of 78, Charlie Curtis Smith of Athens, Texas, born in Denison, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Lee Smith and Luvada Smith (Cain); his son Curtis Smith; his siblings, Sara Whitehorn and Robert Smith; and his brother-in-law Tommy Pope.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Smith of Athens; his daughters, Shanna Smith Burnett of Athens and Kellie Smith Alford (Darin) of Fredericksburg; his grandchildren, Harlie Garcia (Steven), Brady Burnett, Payton Smith (Josie), Katelyn Smith, Meagan Smith, Gracie Alford and Emme Alford; his great grandchild Emberlee Fortner; his sister-in-law Sue Smith; and his brother Joe (Judy Feemster). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
