He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Anne Baker (Joey Baker) of New York, Kathy Lynne Bateman of Winnsboro and Scott Bateman (Kristi Bateman) of LaRue, Texas.; his grandchildren, Shanna Lopez (David) of Rice, TX, Jennifer Fisher (Jason) of Rice, TX, Jack Prewitt (Katy) of Kaufman, TX, Lauren Meeker (Daniel) of Athens, TX, Brandon Jackson of Providence Village, TX, Jeremy Bateman (Jill) of Edmond, Josh Bateman (Callie) of San Antonio, TX and Joseph Baker (Shaelyn) of Mabank, TX; his sister Nancy Anne Glass (Robert Glass) of Athens, TX; and his grandsons, Shaun Jackson and Jordan Bateman. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home (1910 E Tyler St, Athens, TX 75751). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
