It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Garland Minton (Athens, Texas), born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, George Huey Minton and Lareda Minton (Pappas); his wife Judy Minton (Chance); his children, Joseph Minton and Loraine Minton; and his sister Jimmie Wofford.

He is survived by : his daughter Donna Williams (Jay) of Larue; his grandchildren, Joshua Minton (Susan), Mathew Minton, Sean Minton of Joseph Cameron, Brent Halford, Trent Halford, Tichelle Halford, Judi Harris (Clayton), Krystal Sandefur (Brent), Candice Collins, Morgan Whiteway (Alex) and Casie White; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Bryce, Kylie, Wrangler, Levi Minton, Grace, Luke, Brayden, Faith, Gauge Halford, BraeLynn, Raeven, Jaycee Harris, Carson Thompson, SkyeLynn White, RaeLynn O'Brien, Briggs, Jace, Emma Sandefur, Caseon Powers, Kohen Sandefur, Lincoln Whiteway, Bryer Sandefur, Noah and Selah Minton; and his sister-in-law Estelle Whistler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
