We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2024, at the age of 80, Laura Sue Nelson of Athens, Texas, born in Cushman, Arkansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laura Sue Nelson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her father Charley Arvil Hurley; and her brother Billy T. Hurley. She is survived by : her mother Marie Hurley (Barnes); her husband Robert Nelson of Athens; her children, Laura Wilbanks (Kevin) of Dallas and Bradley Nelson (Elaine) of Waco; her siblings, Sam Hurley of Cushman and Charlotte Ann Heyde (Fred) of Southside Batesville; and her grandchildren, Reagan Nelson and Landry Nelson.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in her memory to the: Hospice of East Texas Foundation or the Rotary Foundation.
