She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Smith and Sadie Elizabeth Stoneking (Thomasson); her brothers, Charles Smith and Tommy Smith; and her sister-in-law Martha Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Carter of Athens; her children, Christy Prunty (Jarrad) of Larue and Charles "Rusty" Carter (Stephanie) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her brother Dennis Stoneking (Trissa) of Rockwall; her grandchildren, Becca Marques (Kevin), Brad Toussaint, Lizzy Carter, Sarah Coyoy (Nelzon), Hannah Thrapp, Hannah Rountree (Logan), Colton Prunty (Madeline), Justin Toussaint, Jacob Carter and Carter Prunty; and her great grandchildren, David Marques, Braelynn Thrapp, Lucas Marques, Greyson Thrapp and Isabel Marques. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
