William Keith Bucher Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Keith Bucher (Athens, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William James and Marjorie Gertrude Bucher (Hunt). He is survived by: his daughter Mikaela Marple; his grandchildren, Cody Marple (Racheal Marple) and Kaley (Kassie Filler); his great grandchildren, Haydn and Evelyn Marple; his sister Pamela Raffurty (Don Raffurty); and his nieces and nephews, Amy Jo Russell (Greg Russell), Cristin Nicholson (Branon Nicholson), Sarah Raffurty (Andrew Kriska), Ben Rold (Tami Rold) and Joseph Raffurty (Stefanie Thomasma-Raffurty). He is also survived by his daughter and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Some of his jobs included being a writer for the American Heart Association as well as a journalist for the Dallas Times where he would write reviews of jazz, country, and rock bands that were performing throughout the Dallas area.
