He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sr. Harrist and Geraldine Harrist; his children, Jeffrey Harrist and Eden Burns; his sister Nancy McCollim; and his brother-in-law Charles Pitts.
He is survived by: his stepson Michael Caver of Washington State; his sisters, Judy Pitts of Atlanta and Lori Cullins (Tommy) of Queen City, Texas; and his grandsons, Cody Tomlin and Jacob Tomlin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
