It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Obed Samuel Rushing of Atlanta, Texas, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Obed Samuel Rushing to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Drew Kirkling and Susannah Rushing; and his wife Charlene of Summit. He is survived by : his sons, Steve (Cindy) of Atlanta, Andy (Amy) of Atlanta and Perry (Karen) of Atlanta; his nephew Gary Ansley (Eve) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Julianna Bowen (Patrick), Cody (Emily) of Corpus Christi, Candace Gamez (Robert) of Atlanta, Timothy Douglas Rushing of Linden and Emerson Rushing of Atlanta; his great grandchildren, Parker, Olivia Bowen, Chloe, Mila Cloutier, Jameson, Michaela Gamez and Tucker Rushing; and also Arlen.
