He was predeceased by: his wife Rebecca Abeyta; his parents, Bernabe "Benny" Contreras and Maria Inez Contreras; his grandparents, Anestacio, Guadalupe Contreras and Juanita Garcia; and his father-in-law Robert Abeyta.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Contreras (Vanessa) and Amanda Marie Contreras (Carmela); his brother Bernarbie "Beaver" Contreras Jr. (Eddie); his grandchildren, Ava Lorraine Contreras, Ryan Andrew Contreras, Aaron Andrew Contreras, Noah Andrew Anestacio Contreras, Ayden and Agustin Gutierrez; his aunts, Aurora Quintanilla (Lalo) and Pam Garcia (Paul); his mother-in-law Charlice Ann Abeyta; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Ann Wehbe (Najib) and Robert Anthony Abeyta (Frances Amanda Contreras). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
