He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hines and Odessa Hines; his daughter Deitra Williams; and his siblings, Willie Jean Hines Martin, Dotsie Hines Lee, Maggie Pearl Hines Watson and Jimmy Hines.

He is survived by: his daughter Neitra White; his grandchildren, Raegan Smith, Joshua Ford, Jordan Williams, Psalms and Dexter Miller; his great grandchildren, Masai and Dex II; and his brother Jerald Hines (Hannah). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
