With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Audrey Nell Tyler of Austin, Texas, born in San Marcos, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2026 at the age of 85. Though Audrey may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Audrey touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Hook and Ben Garner; her siblings, Ronnie Garner (Zelda), Elene Decker (Jack) and Brenda Pitmon; and her grandson Joshua Tyler.
She is survived by: her husband Windell Thomas Tyler; her children, Brian Tyler (Aki) of Jacksonville, Florida and Darla Herring (Jason) of Amarillo, Texas; her granddaughters, Erica Herring and Sara Tyler; Anita Carroll.
