Benjamin Ross Pogrund Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 15, 2023, at the age of 31, Benjamin Ross Pogrund of Austin, Texas, born in Burbank, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Walter, Evelyn Lazarus, Lionel and Phyllis Pogrund; his stepgrandmother Kathryn Pogrund; and his uncle Danny Kirshbaum.
He is survived by: his parents, Rich Pogrund and Rona Pogrund; his sister Amy Renken (Pogrund); his nephews, Carter and Wesley Renken; his aunt Glenda Kirshbaum; and his cousins, Geoffrey, Christi, Chloe Kirshbaum, David Kirshbaum, Ben Kass, Lauren Kirshbaum Kass, Henry, Josh, Zev, Hazel Kass, Susan Stidham, Marli Creeach, Missy Roberts, Jimmy and Jacob McBride. He is also survived by many other family members and caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, Ben's family is asking for donations to non-profit organizations to honor his life, Adoption Knowledge Affiliates (adoptionknowledge.org), American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP.org), or any other organizations that help those struggling with mental illness.
