It is with sadness that the passing of Betty Loyce Hinderer of Austin, Texas is shared. Betty, born on October 24, 1935 in Van, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Kirkland and Mary Ann Morris Kirkland; and her siblings, JoAnn (R. E. Whittenberg), Kellis Gene (JoAnne Kirkland), Foy Wayne (Barbara Kirkland) and Ernest "Don" Kirkland.
She is survived by: her daughter Zetta (John R. Hackleman); her granddaughter Audra L. Hackleman; her daughter Joetta (Gregg Freeby); her granddaughter Claire E. Freeby; her son Kelvin G. (Kelli Smith); and her siblings, Cora (Sam Loper) and Robert (Peggy Kirkland). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to one of the following charities or organizations she supported: Austin Pets Alive, the American Heart Association, Salvation Army, China Grove Baptist Church or the Morris Cemetery.
