She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. O. C. Carter and Lenora Carter of Dickie's Clinic; and her brother Larry Carter. She is survived by: her husband Donald; her daughter Amber; and her siblings, Ralph Carter, Quincy Dillard (Lisa) and Joyce Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many adopted sons and daughters, extended family members, and dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Baptist Church (3417 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Austin, TX 78721). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542-4945).
