She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeffree A. James, Sr. and Edna James; and her siblings, Rose James Thompson (Arthur), Gwendolyn James George (David) and Richard James.
She is survived by: her daughters, LaChelle Thomas and Natasha Calhoun; and her grandchildren, Wintress Simms, LaCasey Black and Maurice Freeman.
