With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Celia Coy Barrientos of Austin, Texas, born in Bastrop, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2025 at the age of 93. Though Celia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Celia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her son Edward Coy Flores (Cynthia O. Flores); her parents, Antonio J. Coy and Maria G. Coy; and her fathers-in-law, Julio R. Flores and Miguel Barrientos.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Elizabeth Champie and Alfred Coy Flores (Sandra Flores). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
