She was predeceased by: her mother Annie Colbert; her child Mikayil Rasul; her husband Alfonso Baskerville; and her sister Judith Colbert (Charles Willingham). She is survived by: her son Kamau Gaynor; her siblings, Sandra Sayyed (Hakim), Claudette Moore (Stewart), Beverly Mendes, Dawn Green (Lewis) and Harold Colbert; her grandchildren, Al-Jani, Kamau O., Kai, Mikayil E, Mikah, Mikaiya and Elijah; and her goddaughter Briana Allen. She is also survived by nieces nephews cousins.
